Peter Adkison, founder and former CEO of Wizards of the Coast, is the owner of Gen Con, LLC. Peter Adkison purchased Gen Con from Wizards of the Coast in 2002. While the annual event takes place each summer in Indianapolis, Gen Con’s corporate office is headquartered in Seattle, Washington.

When an attendee registers for an e-ticketed event, their ticket is electronically associated with their Gen Con account. Instead of collecting paper tickets, the Event Organizer for an e-ticketed event simply scans the badge of a registered attendee to redeem their ticket!
