Gyoubu is a much harder fight without the Shinobi Firecracker, a Prosthetic Tool that Sekiro won’t find during the normal course of the Shadows Die Twice campaign (at least not early enough in the game to be useful against Gyoubu). But there’s a way to get the Shinbo Firecracker Prosthetic Tool early.

How do you get Gyoubu?

  1. Gyoubu Oniwa is found at the very end of Ashina Outskirts in a large arena, just past the Ashina Castle Gate Fortress Sculptor’s Idol.
  2. This boss is not optional. He must be defeated to advance the story.

Where do I go after beating Gyoubu?

If you’re struggling then skip to Ashina Outskirts (the 2nd) and come back after you’ve acquired a Memory from Gyoubu. Travel back to the Estate Path idol and go back through the newly opened shortcut and go to the second area on your left.

What you need to do is bait the bull into a charge while you’re sprinting near but not too near around it. Then quickly turn, sprint at it, and get in just one or two slashes of your blade. The Blazing Bull has very high Vitality and a tough Posture gauge to fill, but just the one Deathblow mark.
