When can you build in Monopoly?

You can buy a property when you land on it. Once you own a monopoly of a color group, you can make improvements on your properties with houses or hotels anytime during your turn or even between turns of your opponents.

Can you go to jail before passing Go?

A player sent to Jail cannot collect $200 salary in that move since, regardless of where his/her piece is or of the path of the board, he/she must move his/her piece DIRECTLY into Jail. If you pass go before landing on chance or community chest and drawing a card that sends you to jail, you still collect your salary.

Can you bail yourself out of jail in Monopoly?

If the player does not throw doubles by his third turn he must pay the $50 fine. He then gets out of Jail and immediately moves forward the number of spaces shown by his throw.
