Is Odyssey worth reading?
Definitely a very enjoyable read imo. It’s the action-packed adventures of a guy after ten years of war in a far away land trying to get back home to his family, who meanwhile have to deal with troubles of their own. Really feels like a modern adventure story. It amazed me how many of the themes are relevant today.
Which is better Iliad or Odyssey?
I like The Odyssey better. It’s a more entertaining read. The Illiad is pretty good, but it’s a bit dry in places, and it goes on too long. The Iliad is much better in my opinion, the scope of time is minimized significantly but this makes for a much more thorough look into the characters and plot development.
