“It’s because weeds don’t actually count against your island evaluation. They will only cause issues if they clutter an acre too much. They don’t lower or raise points in anyway and can be used for decorating, same with star fragments, mushrooms, branches, and other naturally found items.”

Any dropped Items are considered cluttering but I believe you can have up to 17 on your island without it having a negative effect on your score. I think it’s a max of 14. Once you hit 15 Isabelle gets upset (also they still count as clutter even if they’re dropped on tables or stalls, not just the ground).

Items categorized as “clutter” include dropped items such as: furniture leaves, dropped walls, floors, walls, clothing, diy recipes, shells (not ones that appear on beaches), branches, fruit, turnips, wood, weeds, materials, etc. So placed fish, placed tools, placed furniture, etc are all good as far as your rating.

What does wrapping paper do in ACNH?

The main use of wrapping paper is to wrap your item for purely decorative purposes. It seems that you can raise the friendship level of villagers by giving them a wrapped present.

Can you have too much furniture on your island?

Place multiple different types of furniture — DIY and non-DIY — in 8×8 grid squares all across your island. In your 8×8 block, make sure no more than 45 / 64 blocks are covered. More than that, and your block is considered cluttered.
