Can warlocks scribe scrolls?

Warlocks aren’t spellcasters, because they have the “Pact Magic” feature rather than the “Spellcasting” feature. So they can’t scribe scrolls.

Can you cast a scroll as a ritual?

You can make a spell scroll of any spell, not just a ritual spell. Casting from a scroll does not use spell slots and you don’t need to have the spell prepared. If you make a scroll of a ritual spell you would use the scroll to cast using the normal casting time not the ritual casting time.

Can Pact of the tome warlocks copy spells?

Yes, Wizards are the only class that can break the PHB+1 rule for spells that they copy into their spells books but that doesn’t include cantrips. Finally, pact of the tome does allow you to choose 3 cantrips from any spell lists but as usual those choices are constrained by your PHB+1.

When you find such a spell, you can add it to the book if the spell’s level is equal to or less than half your warlock level (rounded up) and if you can spare the time to transcribe the spell. You can inscribe spells that you find.

When do you pick a spell in Pact of the Tome?

Spells (including cantrips) picked when leveling up are constrained by PHB+1. “Additionally, when you gain a level in this class, you can choose one of the warlock spells you know and replace it with another spell from the warlock spell list, which also must be of a level for which you have spell slots. ”

Can a warlock copy a spell into the pact?

The FAQ is oddly open ended if only Wizards can break PHB +1 when copying spells. So if the Pact gives Warlocks a spell book, then per the FAQ you could copy any cantrip into it, even outside PHB +1. Any input here? If it’s too much of a grey area then I won’t do it, I don’t want to get conflicting DM rulings at the table.
