Shadow Teddie is level 35, so while your characters are good enough, your stocked personas probably aren’t. You sound like you’re at a good enough level for Shadow Teddie. I normally go for a general rule of gaining 10 levels per boss fight, so ~30 should be okay.
Is Kamui miracle good?
Kamui Miracle is absolutely horrendous. I actually found Kamui Miracle to be really useful, like if I ever got into an encounter with Reaper, I’d have Teddie spam it until it fully healed Reaper just in case I wanted to keep fighting him… But, that’s just because I’m crazy. :3. “My ambition cannot be stopped!”
Is Teddie Yu’s shadow?
Teddie appears as soon as Yu and Yosuke enter the TV World for the first time and has no concept of events or time beforehand indicating it was Yu’s appearance that caused his shadow (or Teddie) to appear. It might also be why Teddie is particularly attached to Yu and begins to call him Sensei.
Why didn’t Yu Narukami have a shadow?
Due to the fact that they can only use their power in the Midnight Channel, Yu was never actually able to do this(and was unaware of his power) until the first time he encountered shadows there. He has a shadow in the manga, though this is not canon and very different from other shadow interactions.
