Is 6 months enough time to train for an Ironman?
Training for an Ironman triathlon requires 4-6 months of intense multisport training. Most athletes require six months of multiple swim, bike and run sessions each week. Experienced triathletes will train two or more hours each day and do two or more of the three disciplines each day.
How hard is it to run an Ironman?
Very, very hard. Iron is between 4 and 5 on Moh’s scale of hardness (so, harder than Flourite but not as hard as Apatite). This is not terribly hard in an absolute sense – Flourite being only 21 times as hard as Talc. One would assume that Ironman’s armor is not actually iron, though.
