Is Faramir good or bad?

I think the prevailing opinion on the forum (at least among movie supporters) is that Faramir in the movie is not bad. He is tempted by the Ring, but so are Gandalf, Galadriel and Aragorn. None of these people are ‘bad’ for being tempted, but are rather good because they resist the temptation.
