It’s surprisingly boring combat. Please play Alan Wake, a bit repetitive but it has a good gameplay and most important – an incredible story. Personally I was excited for Alan Wake but had to put it down. The gameplay was exceptionally repetitive.

Controls combat is super repetitive and rather shallow honestly. If the story doesn’t hold you don’t force yourself. It is repetitive yes, if you focus on the combat. For me the combat, while perfectly playable, wasnt the focus but the lore and story acted as the carrot to keep playing.
