Fallout 4’s scale feels more like Metro Last Light’s than it does it’s predecessors. In summary, Fallout 4 feels small because we don’t really get much of a sense of scale of the world. We’re exposed to small detailed portions at a time but never really anything beyond.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is better. It’s better because it’s being more true to its franchise than Fallout 4. They both are considered RPGs but Skyrim is closer to the genre than Fallout 4.
