Can chaos be defeated?
No, since Chaos will always exist in some form or other. Even if you kill a Daemon, their soul will return to the Warp and they can return after reforming. (The only way to perma-kill them is to kill them inside the Warp itself). That said, chaos can be controlled to a point.
