- Darkness can be attached to an object and the sphere then moves centered on that object, it can be temporarily blocked be covering that object with another (opaque) object.
- The darkness area can dispels magical light created by sources of 2nd level or lower.

Seeing in Darkness Light and Vision breaks down like this: Lightly obscured means you have disadvantage to see it. Heavily obscured means you can’t see it.
What does magical darkness do 5e?
Magical darkness spreads from a point you choose within range to fill a 15-foot radius Sphere for the Duration. The darkness spreads around corners. A creature with Darkvision can’t see through this darkness, and nonmagical light can’t illuminate it.

Can you talk while concentrating 5E?
According to the rules as written (RAW), yes. The only requirements for casting the spell are that you use your action to cast each round, and that you do not lose concentration. Talking to other people does not contradict either of those.
