Can you mix 120mm and 140mm fans?

Can you mix 120mm and 140mm fans?

The size of individual fans doesn’t matter too much but generally larger fans spin slower and are quieter. I would love to have 140 exhaust as all my other fans are 140s now but it’s 120. When you add the GPU into the mix it does add more noise but then it’s louder than all the other fans by far so doesn’t matter.

Do PC fans use a lot of power?

No, they don’t use more power than a normal case fan.. The leds are lit by power drawn from the rotation of the fan. Spin one that’s not plugged in, and it’ll light up. IIRC, the average 80mm case fans draw around 0.10 – 0.11 Amps.

How many watts do AIOS use?

an AIO cooler consumes something like 10 watts 1-2 watts for each fan, so less than 5w for both fans, and maybe 5-10w for the pump pushing water through it. your ryzen 2600 consumes less than 150w, your rx 570 up to 225 watts.. your system in total won’t consume more than 350w.

Does liquid cooling require more power?

No it doesn’t. Your CPU and GPU might in fact use even more power since they are cooled down better. GPU boost 3.0, Intel boost, AMD XFR etc. In fact water cooled PC will use more power also because you need to have pump powered, and you even have more fans plugged in than usuall.

How many watts do you need for water cooling?

Probably around 20w, it depends on the pump you get. 750w is typically more than enough for the very vast majority of builds if you’re only running one gpu.

Does water cooling take a lot of power?

Water cooling can potentially use less power if it is keeping parts like the GPU significantly cooler. Transistors will use less power at the same switching speed if they are kept at a lower temperature.

Is 750W enough for water cooling?

Water cooling doesn’t take that much extra watts. A decent 750W is fine with overclocking R9 280X crossfire builds.
