What does the sideboard mean in MTG?

A sideboard is a group of additional cards the player may use to modify their deck between games of a match. The player may use these cards in their main deck during all games after the first one in a match.

When can you use your side deck?

Side Decks can only be utilized AFTER the first round of a match. When using your side deck to alter the contents of your Main and Extra Deck, the number of cards in your Main and Extra must remain the same.
