How hard is critical mode KH2?
It can be brutal without second chance and once more but it’s not too bad once you get used to it. Should I play KH2 on critical?
Yes. I think it’s really rewarding when you beat the harder encounters on critical. It’s nice to start out with 50 bonus AP and a handful of abilities. You might want to pick the shield so you get the defensive abilities sooner.
Does kh1 have critical mode?
Critical Mode is available in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance and Kingdom Hearts III, however it was first made available to international players in the international releases of Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep.

Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix includes the same difficulty settings as its North American counterpart but in the Final Mix version includes a higher difficulty setting Proud Mode. It can make fights take longer because you do less damage than the original KH. So it can be harder for some.
What happens if you win the race against Riku?
The outcome of the race determines the default name of the Gummi Ship. If Riku wins, it will be named Highwind.
What level should you be to fight Riku?
1) You don’t need to be level 50-60 unless you have a really, REALLY hard time with boss fights. Anything from level 40-45 should suffice for Beginner or Final Mix(I normally get to Riku/Ansem at level 42 or 43) and level 45-50 on Proud, unless you are an expert at Proud mode.
How do you beat Riku?
All you really need for Riku is Guard, Counterattack, and good timing. Just guard/parry his attacks and counter with a combo of your own if he staggers. You don’t even need special attacks like Ars Arcanum, just plain old 3-hit combos will do nicely.
Why does Ansem look like Riku?
Ansem the Wise (or DiZ) used Riku’s passion for getting Sora back to normal to coax Riku into using the darkness inside of himself (the leftover Ansem SoD bits) to fight and capture Roxas, which in turn transformed his appearance to look like Xehanort’s Heartless.

Should I play chain of memories?
I’d recommend Re: Chain of Memories (the remake), as it’s easier to obtain and easier to get into. If you find yourself really hating the gameplay, be sure to at least watch the cutscenes (for both Sora and Riku’s storylines), or you’ll be lost going into Kingdom Hearts II.
Should I play Riku in Chain of Memories?
Story wise, you have to play Riku’s Reverse-Rebirth mode. In a way, it gives a lot more relevant insight on the story and characters than Sora’s side of CoM could ever hope to do. Especially with what I suspect we’ll see in Days. The ending scenes and credit scenes especially tie in with Days.
How long is Riku mode in Chain of Memories?
I usually get 15 hours at the end of Sora’s and 5 hours on Riku, so I guess 10 hours for your Riku playthrough if you took 30 on Sora.
Is it worth playing Riku mode?
If you don’t like building decks, imo you’ll find Riku’s half much more fun than Sora’s. It’s extremely fast paced. He wrecks in dark mode, his decks are all pre-made so there’s no grinding at all, fights all end quick, and there’s literally zero story to waste time on in the Disney worlds.
How do you unlock Riku in Chain of Memories?
To play as Riku, you first have to complete the storyline while playing as Sora. Doing so will unlock the Reverse/Rebirth mode, which gives you two extra save files that you can use to play Riku’s side of the story.
How long is reverse rebirth?
5-10 hours
What is Reverse Rebirth?
Reverse/Rebirth tells a different story. Along with Riku having a new fixed deck every World, enemies attack in more immediately recognizable patterns than in Sora’s campaign. Riku’s cards and their values are specifically designed around what the enemies and boss of each World will throw at him.
Can you play as Riku in kh1?
In Days you can play as him in mission mode (which is basically just story mode without the grey room intervals and non-canon) after you defeat the giant heartless and achieve the next rank, which happens around day 150-152 IIRC.
