Do you have to offer a cut in Euchre?

Each player is dealt five cards (seven if using the 32-card deck) in clockwise order in two rounds. A "cut" is sometimes offered by the dealer to the player to the right. In some variations, the cut must be requested. The remaining four cards are called the "kitty" and are placed face down in front of the dealer.

What are the rules of Mau?

When a player has only one card left, he must say “Mau” (even if it is an Ace); if that card is a Jack, he must say “Mau-Mau”. Failure means that the player must take a card. If the game is scored, and the winning card is a Jack, then all points against the losers are doubled.

Who goes first when playing cards?

It normally starts with the players next to the dealer in the direction of play (left in a clockwise game; right in an anticlockwise one), and continues in the same direction around the table. The cards may be dealt one at a time, or in groups.
