Can you transfer an enchantment?

You cannot transfer an enchantment from a tool onto a book in vanilla survival without cheats. You can however combine two books (or any two items of the same type) and merge the enchantments with an anvil.

Can you take an enchantment off an item and put it on another?

If you combine an enchanted item and a book in an Anvil, you should be able to transfer the enchantments onto the book. This would cost XP and lower the enchantments’ level by 1 (so you need to start with a level 2 enchantment to get anything).

Can you remove enchantments and put them on books?

TL;DR:Putting a regular book on the first anvil slot and an enchanted tool on the second will give you an enchanted book with the first enchantment on the said tool, thus “removing” the enchantment.

What does depth Strider do?

Depth Strider is an armor enchantment that increases underwater movement speed. There are three levels of Depth Strider, each level reducing the rate at which water slows down the player by ⅓. Depth Strider can only be applied to Boots, but can be applied to other armor pieces with commands.

Can you disenchant one enchantment?

Can you Disenchant any Item Level? You can disenchant any enchanted item at a grindstone. The grindstone will not be able to remove any curses, so it will not provide any experience or the regular item when you disenchant a cursed item, but it can remove any other level of enchanted item.

Can I transfer enchantments from one item to another?

You can transfer an enchantment to an item that already contains a lower-level enchantment, but the receiving item’s previous magic is lost. For example, the enhancement bonus and power of a suit of +1 barkskin hide (5th level) could be placed into a suit of +1 curseforged scale (3rd level), but the scale armor’s existing power is lost in doing so.

Can you change a weapon enchantment?

You can upgrade the quality enchantments at any time as long as you have enough points left on the item. You cant change the elemental or slaying enchantments though. So for example you can upgrade a weapon enchant from Accuracy 1 to Fine. And then from Fine to a higher quality. But you cant change a fire enchant to a frost one.

Can You Mine an enchantment table?

The enchantment table can be mined with anything, but a pickaxe is fastest. Enchantment tables are expensive to make. To craft it you need 3 obsidian blocks at the bottom, 1 obsidian block in the middle, 2 diamonds on each sides in the middle, and on top middle, is a book.

Can you remove enchantments in Minecraft?

There’s no legitimate way in Survival to remove one enchantment. All enchantments can be removed by crafting-repairing; that’s the only way to remove any enchantments. Only works with picks (all other tools to), the first slot will always be the one to carry over.
