Can you look at your cards in war?

Each player takes their cards and holds them in their hands FACE DOWN – you are not allowed to look at the cards. Then, when all the players are ready, they take one card from the top of their face-down deck, and place it face up in front of them.

What are the rules of the card game War?

Each player turns up a card at the same time and the player with the higher card takes both cards and puts them, face down, on the bottom of his stack. If the cards are the same rank, it is War. Each player turns up one card face down and one card face up. The player with the higher cards takes both piles (six cards).

How do you win the card game War?

Players get 16 cards each face down. They turn over their top cards at the same time and the higher card wins. If the cards are equal, players turn the next card and the winner takes all four cards. The player with the most cards at the end wins.

Does the card game War Ever End?

Each player starts with 26 cards, so if there are no wars and one player wins every hand, the game will last 26 turns. For every turn that player loses, they must win an additional hand to cancel the loss, so the game still requires an even number of turns.
