Can I download games on Nintendo DS Lite?

Note. The system is able to use Download Play with the Nintendo DSi XL, Nintendo DSi, Nintendo DS Lite, and Nintendo DS systems. Wireless communication needs to be enabled to use Download Play.

Yes, the Nintendo 3DS supports local wireless multiplayer and wireless interaction with Nintendo DS, Nintendo DS Lite, and Nintendo DSi system owners.

Can you play Mario Kart on a DS?

Insert your Mario Kart DS Game Card into your Nintendo DS and turn the power ON. When the system start-up screen appears, touch the Touch Screen to proceed. On the DS system screen, touch the Mario Kart DS panel to display the title screen. All buttons on the Nintendo DS are used to control your kart in races.

Can you still play Mario Kart DS online?

For online multiplayer, unfortunately no. All DS titles use the old matchmaking system. Even though the system itself is a 3DS, the game will still attempt to connect to the old servers, which are no longer operational. Local multiplayer should continue working.
