How does hero forge work?

Hero Forge® is a platform which lets you design and order custom tabletop miniatures and statuettes. Using the latest in web and 3D printing technology, you can visualize your hero in 3D, export images for your character sheet or favorite virtual tabletop program, and order a bespoke, custom miniature.

How do you measure a miniature scale?

1″ scale: 1 foot in real life, equals 1 inch in miniature life. Also known as 1/12th Scale. Always when breaking down a real life object to a certain scale, you divide the length and width by the number of parts in scale , 12 for one inch scale, 24 for half scale, or 48 for quarter scale.

Are Barbies 1/12 scale?

Do NOT let that confuse you, Barbie is a 12″ doll, which DOES NOT WORK with 1:12 furniture. While some people (my parents) purchase 1:12 miniatures at flea markets for their kid’s Barbie houses. These pieces are not the right scale.

Models come in a range of scales, the most common being 1:4, 1:8, 1:12, 1:16, 1:18, 1:24, 1:48, and 1:72. Choosing a scale that works for you is the first big step in mastering your model builds.

How do you determine scale model size?

To find the Scale of your Model: Take the length of the Full Size Ship in Feet, multiply (x) by 12 to get the Length in Inches. Take that number and Divide it by the Length of your model (also in Inches), and you will have determined the Scale.
