My general rule of thumb for Soraka is that if the enemy team has at least 2 champions which relies an assassinating a target quickly, then she’s not the best pick….Otherwise, she’s a pretty good pick assuming the 3 following conditions are met :

She’s not banned.
She’s not picked.
You’re lacking a support.
