Overview. Stomp is the 6th skill Ori learns, and makes them able to hit the ground hard and do damage to nearby enemies and objects, including the ground itself. This skill is earned after you’ve escaped the Ginso Tree, and walking towards east in the Thornfelt Swamp.
How do I open the spirit gate?
Spirit Gates require Keystones to be opened, either two or four. There is also a small slot above the Keystone holes in which Sein must go, but this is not an issue because Sein is with Ori almost the entire game (the very beginning is an exception to this).

Can you go back to the Ginso tree?
In the Definitive Edition, players can reenter the tree through the main entrance or through a Spirit Well warp to pick up any secrets they may have missed. The very top of the tree, where Ori first encountered Kuro after the Water Escape, is blocked off by branches and remains inaccessible.

You’ll need to clear both sides of the heart by going up the tree to the left and right and breaking all of the spikes at the top. On both sides you’ll need to direct enemy projectiles to the top barrier so you can get through. Once you’ve cleared both sides you’ll restore the Element of Water.

- Drop all the way down as far as you can go to collect a Spirit Light Container.
- Jump back up the walls and go to the west.
- Kill the big spiked blob on the other side and break the wall to the east.
- Before dropping down jump across to the east.
Why did Kuro’s babies die?
At the beginning of the game when the Ceremony of Light is happening, the light causes Kuro to attack and steal Sein. By the time you complete the Forlorn Ruins, Kuro’s chicks have grown a fair bit, but the light being restored is too much for them thus resulting in their deaths.
Why did the spirit tree kill Kuro’s children?
To protect her remaining unborn child and in revenge for killing her other three, Kuro launched an attack on the Spirit Tree and the Spirit Guardians that were gathered there.
