Do you lose stolen items forsworn conspiracy?

Possible spoilers but in the forsworn conspiracy mission and after the prison mission what items are taken away? All of them, except for quest items (stone of barenziah, etc) and 1 lockpick. Every item that is not a quest item is taken away, but will be given back in the end, even stolen items are returned.

Are the forsworn good guys?

Yes they are good but also bad SINCE every single one has the ability to make their own decisions (i know its a game but hush) after you escape Cidhna mine u are indirectly joining them. Not all Forsworn are bad but a majority are.

Sadly, apart from not doing the quest, there’s nothing you can do for him. You can kill him before he makes it back to the house.
