Complete six Slayer Gates, get six Empyrean Keys, and you’ll be able to unlock the Unmaykr in the Fortress of Doom. To find the gun case, go to the center chamber and drop down to the lowest level, then go forward to the tall chamber. The Unmaykr only made an official appearance in DOOM 64 — as a secret weapon.
What do Slayer Gates do?
The Slayer Gate is a new feature in Doom Eternal that provides optional, but intense, encounters. There are a total of 6 gates, and each one needs to be unlocked by a Slayer Key that’s found near its respective gate. Completing all 6 gates will unlock access to the Unmaykr in the Fortress of Doom.
Is the Unmaker better than the BFG?
The BFG is better hands down in normal combat situations, because it instantly erases almost everything in the arena. The Unmakyr requires you actually aim at specific targets and submit them to prolonged firing. Basically, the Unmakyr is takes too long to kill too few enemies.
How powerful is the Unmaker?
Once fully upgraded, it is arguably considered the most powerful weapon in the series, able to rapidly fire a spread of lasers that cause high amounts of damage. The Unmaker can be upgraded by playing through the secret maps and acquiring the Demon Keys to upgrade it’s firepower.
