Is fe3h maddening fun?

Maddening is pretty fun although each battle is probably taking almost 2 or 3 times longer to finish. Early chapters feel almost unfair (probably is unfair) until you train Byleth and advance your troops. Without NG+ it’s probably just cry. People have trouble with mock battle, but that’s presumably not with NG+.

How do you beat the maddening 3 House?

Use Combat Arts frequently, especially early on when you won’t be doubling anyway.
Use Gambits to lock down a group of enemies so they don’t move for a round.
Pay attention to enemy abilities.
Check out some of the defensive/support Gambits.
Terrain makes a big difference.
