Gems are mostly useless now, to the point that the +40 main stat gems are made at a 10% to 30% loss on my server. You can craft a +5% bonus XP gem really early that should be selling like hotcakes, but barely any BfA gear has sockets after you hit 120, let alone while you’re levelling, so it’s actually 100% useless.
