Are Romero and Carmack still friends?

While Carmack and Romero have gone separate ways, there’s one thing they still share: their legacy. Both have told me they often get approached by fans, including aspiring game developers, who want an autographed copy of Masters of Doom and who tell them how much they were inspired by their story.
