Port number identifies a specific process to which an Internet or other network message is to be forwarded when it arrives at a server. Ports are identified for each protocol and It is considered as a communication endpoint. 0 to 1023 are restricted port numbers are as they are used by well-known protocol services.
How much time it takes to port a SIM?
Porting process takes 3 working days for same circle porting. The services on your current SIM will not be interrupted during porting process. The downtime is for around 2 hours only (during night). You can change and start using your new SIM when the old connection stops working.
How do you tell if your number has been ported?
Call your cell phone provider. If you’ve recently ported your number from an old cell phone provider to a new one, call the new provider and request the status of the ported number. Often they can immediately inform you on which date the number was, or will be, ported to your new service.
