I think, the combination of meh reviews and low sales have halted development of any Pokemon Ranger games. Even the Mystery Dungeon series tended to outsell the Pokemon Ranger games (on the DS at least). Compared to the main series games, Pokemon Ranger hasn’t come close to matching those sales.

I think they’re worth it. The Rangers are fun and the Mystery Dungeons have unforgettable stories (especially the Rescue Teams and Explorers series). They’re both probably dirt cheap now. Explorers of sky has retained it’s value, but the others can be easily snagged off of eBay.
