MCC has the same player count limitations as the original Xbox releases where coop campaign in Halo 1 & 2 is only 2 player. I dn’t know where you saw someone playing coop in 4-player splitscreen. Was it maybe a mod? It was never an officially supported feature. Ya, H1 and H2 do not support 4 player Coop. Only 2 players. H3 thru H5 do however.
