Diego’s life ends after an attempt to kill Valentine by dragging him under the train, resulting in his own demise in vain as he is torn in half.

Valentine is able to go to another world and drags Diego partway, letting him under the wheels. Diego is split in two and clings to life for a couple of moments before expiring for good. Later on, Lucy Steel severs his head and uses it to kill the Diego Brando from a Parallel World.
