Do you really need Caps in Fallout 4?

The entire game can be played without ever spending a cap. There’s just no need for them. The only things of significant value in the game are all free, which are legendaries and power armor.

Leave them on a yellow rig.
Create an inaccessible Suit Depo.
Keep your suits at an empty settlement.
